Maria Juanita - Print
This signed and numbered edition brings La Infanta Maria Juanita’s courtly apparition into a more intimate scale. The reference to Mariana of Austria and Velázquez’s Prado portrait remains, but Pablo Etchepare lets the historical pose drift into a botanical reverie: brown hair, cannabis flowers and red eyes turn aristocratic composure into a sly psychedelic signal. No crown, no solemn distance, only colour, plant life and a gaze that refuses to remain decorative.
